It’s no secret that where there’s money, there are malefactors as well. That’s why the majority of security incidents in retail are related to credit card fraud. In this webinar, we will describe how attackers can exploit Point of Sale and Point of Purchase systems.Register
Our webinar will include the demonstration of some critical vulnerabilities of SAP POS. SAP POS is a part of the SAP for Retail solution portfolio, which serves 80% of the retailers in the Forbes Global 2000. Back in April 2017, ERPScan researchers have identified and reported its vulnerabilities to the vendor. The most critical of them is that SAP POS has no authentication checks for critical functionality that requires user identity. Due to this security drawback, anyone who gets into the network can change prices or set discounts.
On October 24th we will go through a fully operational attack vector, from the beginning of the attack to accessing critical data. Although POS security has been widely covered, we’ll use practical examples instead of common truth and blanket statements.
During the webinar you will learn about:
- SAP POS architecture and operation
- Types of SAP POS attacks
- How to buy a MacBook for $3
- How to protect your assets.
