ERPScan educates German students

Palo Alto, CA – June 1, 2012 On April 24, Alexey Sintsov, head of the information security audit department in ERPScan, conducted a practical workshop in one of the best technical universities in Germany – RUHR, located in Bochum. His speech was supported by a demonstration of vulnerabilities and examples of attacks.

It’s good to see that the RUHR students, as they are future professionals, are not only taught the basics and theory but can also touch the practical side of the topic and look at some real practical examples. They have the possibility to speak to the professionals from all over the world because during one semester, once a month, someone is invited to their classes who works in IT security and who can share something interesting and unique. It is very important for ERPScan to have been internationally appreciated yet again. For many years now we have spoken frequently at the leading security conferences of the world, like BlackHat, HackInTheBox and CONFidence, and now we were flattered to receive an invitation to speak at a leading European university. This means that the information about ERPScan‘s professional experience and knowledge is interesting and progressive enough to be useful in the education of young students of such a complex and rapidly evolving field as information security. I hope the students were pleased, too

– Alexey commented on his visit.

After the workshop, a free-format meeting was conducted in the office of the sponsor, the German antivirus company G Data, where G Data specialists, the speaker and the students had the chance to discuss the current information security problems informally.
